I. Rules of the Competition
Super Line is a discipline, in which competes several robots ( max 5 ), running over black lines on a white background. In this discipline,i ntersection of the lines is allowed. The competition lasts for a time of 5 minutes. The number of laps, completed by each robot and the time for their completion is measured. After the expiration of the 5 minutes, the race is terminated by waiting all robots to complete their current lap. The winner is considered the one with the most laps driven. If there are robots with the same number of laps, the overall elapsed time to finish then is takeninto account. In this case, the winner is the robot, that has completed these laps in the shortest time.
If the robot fails to complete the tour within 2 minutes after the final signal has been given, the time of its last completed lap is taken. In case of collision with other robots, the robot is allowed to be return to the track by hand, but this must be done within a radius of 20 cm from the place where the collision occurred. In need of restarting the robot, it should be placed on the start – finish line after the starting line.
The winner is the robot with the least time for all laps.
The robot will be disqualified if it violates the principles of fair play:
- If it misses a turn
- If it is not keeping the line, but instead tries to take a shortcut
The robot will be disqualified for technical reasons:
- If it sets itself on fire.
- If it does not run more than 30 seconds, or at the discretion of the judge
- If after attending the robot has left on the field liquids, innards or other items and materials.
- If it does not cover the technical requirements set forth in the regulation.
The round can be replayed on judicial discretion:
- If the detection system does not work correctly.
- If the track is dirty or interference happens during the tour.
The robots, which have not finished are ranked in the last place in an alphabetical order.
II. Technical requirements for the robots
The robot must have a maximum size of 15.00 cm width and 15.00 cm length. The maximum height of the robot must be 20.00 cm.
No restrictions on the weight of the robot.
The team can put in a prominent place the national flag and the logo of the organization for which the robot competes. The robot must not collapse during the race. The robot must withstand the entire circumference of the track without any outside help.
III. Requirements for the field
The time is measured with a stopwatch from the moment in which referee send a signal to start the race.Lap is taken into account, at the moment in which the robot pass through the start line.
2. Proportions and colors
The line is black and the track is white. The width of the line is 2 cm. The distance between two adjacent lines is not less than 15 cm, except for the parts of the track, where separating or uniting of the lines happens, or where the intersections are. The form of the track is previously known, but the direction of the movement will be determined on the event’s day. The teams have more than one hour time to test the track.
Start and finish lines are marked with 10 cm wide and 2 cm thick lines. The distance between them is at least 30 cm.
